love! this reminds me of a birthday letter from my father. he wrote a long note on a piece of birch bark. it was rolled and tied with a red ribbon. playful and sincere, my father. my parents owned 60+ acres of land in the town where i grew up; weekends were spent hiking and my father used the land as a moving classroom. as we hiked, he taught little lessons about the trees, leaves, rocks, direction of the wind, how to use a compass and cycles of life. collectively, the lessons showed me the importance of connecting with nature and finding time to just be. somewhat related: i would happily wear this bracelet as a reminder of all the goodness during our weekend hikes. i miss them. i miss my little family; the four of us.
