what’s in the name?
i reserved texturism.com a year ago. it was available?! yea, that’s what i thought. how cool. i had exactly zero plans for it but figured why not. well, i am getting closer to a plan for it but i would love to know what you think of the name. how would you describe texturism in a word or two or three. and what might you add to the mix? if you prefer to leave a personal note, feel free + thank you!

texturism to me is the way textures interact with each other. the feeling when you sweep your hand over different textures. hand-made or organic or both.

I like the comments: layered and nuanced. But definitely to do with ‘feeling’ in all of senses of the word.

Texturism to me means… The way life feels for each of us, the good and beautiful things that we grab onto for comfort. I think texturism is perfect for you, M.

layered. nuanced. hand-made. earthen. raw materials. building blocks. fabrics weaved together. Best!

I always thought texturism was a play off how you are so in touch with how things look, feel, and breathe in an area. I’ve always loved your sense of style; especially when there’s just a splash of red, I am always reminded of you.

not simply texture itself but the process of creating texture…the artistry. I feel you blog a lot relating to that which I love :)

i followed the blog because it gave off the impression that you focused on blogging images/notes relative to just that, texture
